1. Scan C drive status
DiskTidy reads Windows drive information to show total, used, and free space for the C drive.
2. Find cleanup candidates
The app checks known temporary and cache locations. It counts files and estimates the amount of space that might be recovered.
3. Let you review results
Cleanup candidates appear in a list with checkboxes. You can choose which categories to clean.
4. Clean selected items locally
After confirmation, DiskTidy attempts to remove selected temporary content. It skips locked files, protected files, symbolic links, and system reparse points.
5. Show large files without deleting them
Large-file analysis scans common user folders for files over 100 MB. This view is informational and does not delete anything.
